For the most part on this tour, we'll be playing outdoor venues ... festivals and outside amphitheaters. These are both a blessing and a curse because, most times we don't get to soundcheck due to the other acts we share the bill with. Many times, soundchecks can be perfunctory and a hassle but, like most things in life, you don't know what you have till it's gone and not having a proper soundcheck, or any at all, can cause a show to be a comedy of errors till you get your monitor balance right. Even though we have in-ear monitors, the sound still changes from venue to venue and trying to concentrate on the performance gets tricky when you can't hear properly. Thankfully, the next few shows will be ours alone (with one support act) and we can get to have some kind of pre-show check before the show.
